A reverse cell phone listing is needed if you want to trace or find out who owns an unknown cell phone number. You may be getting prank calls or hang ups and want to find out who is behind the calls. Maybe you want to see who your husband or wife has been calling. You can get their recent call history from their cell phone and preform a search on the unknown numbers.

Here are 3 ways to research a cell number. First you can try a search engine. Google will usually give you the best results. Type in the number you want to trace and see what you get back. You can also try typing in Phone: 555-555-5555 of course replace this with the actual number you want to look up. This method will work if the person has at one time or another posted their number on a forum, message board or in a classified ad. This method works great for land line telephones but not as well for cell phones.

Second method you can try is preforming a search on some of the popular social sites like Myspace or Facebook. Just go to their site and type the number in their search form. With so many people having their own personal page and listing a cell phone number so other people can contact them this will work in some cases.

Third method is to use a professional service. If the other two methods did not work you will have to go this route. While there are a lot of so called free reverse phone services you will find them a waste of time. But feel free to try for yourself. I have yet to find a free service that does not require you to pay or has any worthwhile information. Since they all use the same free data base to run their site on most of the information is outdated and has very few if any cell numbers.

A decent paid service buys their info and data base from the major cell phone service providers so as soon as someone purchases a new phone it immediately goes into the data base and will show up in searches. Before joining a site you will want to do your homework since they are not all created equal.

You will be shocked the first time you use a paid service with the amount of personal info you can dig up on someone, and so will that prank caller or your husbands new girlfriend when you call them back and let them know you have their name, address, where they work, their past marriages, their complete criminal history and more.

Visit our main page to see what the top rated reverse phone search services are.

Reverse Cell Phone Lookup – Stop Prank Calls

Do you get annoying prank calls or wrong numbers on you cell phone all the time? Nothing worse that getting prank calls at 2 am or while you are driving in heavy traffic. I used to get these all the time but I found out how to put a stop to them by getting the cell phone callers info from a reverse call search.

Instead of changing your phone number run a reverse cell phone search on the unknown caller and you will get back some pretty personal info on that person. Next print it out and call them back. I usually read back their name address and other personal information that my search provider gave me and tell them to stop calling. In most cases you will never hear from that number again. If they do keep calling you are armed with there info and you can call the authorities on them and file a complaint.

There are a lot of free reverse cell phone directories or at least ones that claim to be but you really have to watch what ones you join, You may be wasting your money. I would stick to the well know providers that have a good reputation, They service is well worth the fee you pay to join and once a member you have access to their other services like, people and classmate search, court records and other useful info. You can really dig up some dirt on another person.

As far as the free searches go, I’ll have to admit I tried most of them. The info you get back is pretty worthless since they use outdated public domain info for their data base. Cell phone numbers are not in the public domain like land line numbers are so it is a lot harder to trace a cell number.

The paid reverse cell phone directories keep their data base current and up to date by purchasing there info from cell phone providers. As soon as someone gets a new number it is entered into the system. We ran a test by buying a new call phone and ran the number. In just a few hours my name address and other info was showing up on the searches.

The best way to start tracing a cell number is by doing a preliminary search to see if some basic info is returned. While almost all cell phones are in the system some of the over the counter pre paid ones are not. Unless the person bought it with a credit card they are really hard to trace since they require no name or any other personal information to buy one.

You also need to watch what sites you join some of them are outright scams made to collect your personal information and money.

How To Trace A Cell Phone Number

We all get calls from strange unknown cell phone numbers but trying to get information on a cell phone is a lot harder then a regular landline telephone. I wanted to learn how to trace a cell phone number so I did a little research to find out how.

First I started by doing a Google search on tracing cell phone numbers and came up with a ton of “free” reverse call sites. Like everyone else I tried a bunch of them and found it was a waste of time. All I got back was some worthless information or had to pay to see if they could find any results.

I did actually join a few and was soon departed with my money with still no results. I also discovered that they had no contact form or any way to get a refund, I got scammed. There were a few legitimate sites but they had little info on cell phone numbers in there database.

I learned that before you join any site you better do your research. If they have a free search use it to see if the number comes up with anything. You should at least get back the state and city of the cell number you are searching.

As far as tracing cell phone numbers I found reverse phone detective to be the best. There are other sites that are almost equal but overall they came out on top. There site is very easy to use and the info I got back on my searches was amazing. You can actually contact a real person to if you need any support or want a question answered.

Some of the sites have a yearly membership fee but some you can opt in for the one time search fee. Either way the fees are pretty reasonable. Well worth the time you will save by trying to go the free route. I hate spending money too but the saying you get what you pay for is true.

I ran a trace on my own cell phone number and was shocked at what sort of info that is available. Name, address, background records, criminal records, and a lot more are available to anyone that really wants to dig up some dirt on another person.

Before joining a site you will want to make sure they keep there database updates and current. If you know of a new cell number try it and see if it is their system. Some sites run on outdated or public domain information that you can find for free. The only cell phone numbers that could not be traced most of the time were the pre paid cell phones that anyone can pick up at there local convenient store. They don’t require a name or any other info so unless the person used a credit card there is no way to trace it.

So if you need to find out who your wife or husband has been calling on their cell phone a reverse phone service is what you will need.

How to Find the Owner of Any Phone Number

Do you receive prank calls, a lot of unknown calls on your caller id or need to find out
who your husband has been calling on his cell phone? If so a reverse call search can give
you the information you need.

If you ever tried a free reverse call search and found the information you received was
pretty worthless there is a reason for that. most free reverse call searches do not spend
much time updating there database. They use freely available public domain resources. You
really do get what you pay for.

By joining a paid reverse phone search you will be amazed at the info you get back when
you run a phone number search. Try your own phone number for a test. Another draw back of
using free phone searches is tat you will rarely find anything on a cell phone number.

Free search sites also use the same database as all the others so you can save yourself a
lot of time by skipping all the ones that say free. I found this out the hard way by
wasting all day trying to get some basic info on a number.

I hate spending money but if you really need to find the owner of a phone number, even if
it is unlisted use a paid search site. The fee is well worth it. Some have a one time use
fee while others are yearly. The yearly option is almost always the better deal. Having
access to there search for an entire year will come in handy. You will surprise yourself on the stuff you can dig up on people.

You do have to watch however, some sites are scams. they are basically free sites in
disguise. Plus there is no contact form or any other way to get a refund. If the site you
are looking to join has a preliminary search try it and you should get back some basic
info even before joining.

By trial and error we did come up with a list of the top legitimate reverse phone search
site. I hate getting scammed and always try to stop people from going through the same
lessons I learned.

Trying to look up a person’s name, address or other information by their cell number on yellow pages or public phone directories is next to impossible. The reason is because these numbers are not listed publicly. The information you get with a paid search will give you the person’s name, current address, location, their phone carrier, criminal histories, court records, legal files, birth record and more.

You can also use there service to trace any cell, unlisted, residential, commercial, and even pay phones. We found out what the professional use and did our research using them. Private investigators, law enforcement agency’s and even lawyers use reverse phone searches for there research.

So stop that prank caller by calling them back and reading off there home address and criminal history to them. Last time I did this the phone went silent and I never got a prank call from them again.
